Since its establishment in 1974, the Straniak Foundation has allocated more than CHF 5 million to support the foundation's purposes as outlined below. Besides the areas of philosophy and human rights, the foundation is also committed to the promotion of general humanitarian efforts and to the support of people in need in the Canton of Obwalden.
